| Michael Moore (I think) wrote: | | “It never occurred to us that the commander in chief of the American forces (Bush) would leave 50,000 citizens in the two towers to face those horrors alone at a time when they most needed him because he thought listening to a child discussing her goat and its ramming was more important than the planes and their ramming of the skyscrapers. This had given us three times the time needed to carry out the operations, thanks be to God...” |
It's amazing what you can find when you're trying to find out what "Every cloud has a slverlining" means, for a friend and for yourself.

I decided to take a look around there, and I got that *points to quote* from the preivous post.
I don't think Bush was caring more about the girl's goat than about the 50,000 people in the World Trade Center. I think he was caring more about the girl. I think the girl was in first grade, and if you were in first grade and you were talking to the President of the United States, and he was actually paying attention to what you were talking about, would you want him to say "Oh, I'm sorry, there are some terroists attacking out country, could you call me sometime and we can finish this conversation then?" I know I wouldn't.
I find it sad that people can think so little of others in a time like that. It may seem like the President wasn't thinking of the people in the World Trade Center, but first off realisticly would could he have done to help in a situation like that? and second, I think he was thinking more about how him getting up and leaving would affect the girl.
Also a comment on the post, someone said:
""would leave 50,000 citizens in the two towers to face those horrors alone"
Hey, FDNY, NYPD, & PAONY/NJ sacrificed several hundred of their own so that almost 47,000 of those citizens made it home that night -- and don't think for a minute we will ever forget that ... "
It's said to think that no one thinks of the many people that keep us safe. It's not just the President that does that.....
So.... yeah, I just felt like a little rant.... thanks for reading my pointless bable. _________________ "I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you."

That does sound like Micheal Moore. But there's other things that validly make him unpopular, like the war on terrorism.
EDIT: Make Bush unpopular, that is. _________________ かくさいがいであいがしらに

well sure, but really, lets take the good things Bush does, twist them into something bad, then make sure almost every person in America and many other countries hears it.... I mean really.... _________________ "I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you."

Do you really think they have that large a following? Oddly, they do. It's called "The Democrats" and they've put down every Republican President (probably since Nixon.) Then there's "our" side. I say "our" because I'm a republican, though some of the stuff extremist republicans do really ticks me off. So anyway, "our" side has put down every democratic president that I can think of. They did it to Clinton, you know, even though he was just weird. The third place that the criticism comes from is from the news media. You've heard the saying "No news is good news"? Well that's exactly why the media can't report on good things that happen, or at least they won't, because if they did then their ratings would go down and stations that reported bad news would get higher ratings. I'm not saying all news media is bad, like some people do, but they could use a cleaning up sometimes. _________________ かくさいがいであいがしらに
